Most people have no idea who Dick Cavett is, but he paved the way for late night television. He was a writer, comedian, talk show host, and storyteller. I like the anecdote regarding Groucho because it makes me wonder if they're are any modern day comedians that would have the kind of appeal that people would want to walk up the them and be humiliated.
